Nordic Development Fund (NDF) is a joint Nordic international finance institution (IFI), established in 1988 by Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. NDF’s work focuses on the nexus between climate change and development in lower-income countries and countries in fragile situations. Together with our strategic partners, we develop, launch and scale high-impact projects to support developing countries and people vulnerable to climate change.
To strengthen our Quality Assurance & Reporting (QAR) department, we are now recruiting a Results & Reporting Specialist to join NDF Headquarters in Helsinki.
The main purpose of the specialist position is to ensure quality portfolio-level Result Management Framework data in support of NDF’s results-based management and reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Support internal and external partners in the collection of project data and manage the overall portfolio results data;
- Conduct results data review, quality assurance, and validation;
- Conduct portfolio data analysis of the results and other types of data to inform reporting (e.g., the Results Report, various data briefs, analytics, and other information and communication products);
- Act as focal point for all portfolio data requests and data management system support;
- Support the continued development of NDF’s data management system on Power Platform (Microsoft Dynamics 365) and Power BI reporting;
- Support project results framework and indicator development;
- Support the collection of data and coordinate reporting on facilities hosted by NDF;
- Contribute to project design with a focus on the result frameworks and indicators;
- Support project monitoring and engage in mid-term reviews and evaluations.
Key Competencies, Experience, and Personal Attributes
- A genuine interest in the purpose and values of NDF
- A Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum four years of relevant work experience, some of which is in international development work with a bilateral aid organisation, development finance institution, intergovernmental organisation or NGO required.
- Experience in results reporting, data management and analysis required.
- Knowledge in results-based management, project cycle management and/or impact measurement required.
- Proficiency in Excel and knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365, including Power BI and Power Apps.
- Excellent oral and written command of English; working knowledge of one or more other languages (e.g., French and/or Spanish) is an advantage. Strong writing and presentational skills.
- Structured and systematic approach to tasks; analytical skills.
- Strong team-working skills.
- Work experience in a lower income country is considered an advantage.
- Experience in environmental/climate change and/or other cross-cutting theme such as gender and inclusion focused programmatic work is an advantage.
